Sunnyside Solar Energy,
LLC is a MHIC licensed and fully insured
company. We perform energy efficiency
audits and provide weatherization services.
We design and install all types of solar energy
systems including solar water heating, solar air
heating and photovoltaic (PV) systems. As you
can see below we have a highly qualified team of
experts that will ensure that our solar projects
are working proficiently decades after the
warranties expire.

Meet us...
Richard Louis, PE
Rich is a licensed professional engineer and a BPI certified
home performance energy efficiency auditor. He has over 20
years of experience with utility and environmental systems
ranging from small to large, multimillion dollar projects.
He has specialized experience in hydraulics, which includes
design of pumps, piping and tanks. Because of his
extensive experience he was recently asked to co-author the
article “Inside the Mechanical Room -Commercial Solar Thermal
Storage, Exchangers, Pumps and Controls” in the national
trade magazine SOLAR PRO. He designs and installs complex
applications of solar water heating systems including water
heaters, radiant floor heating systems, and pool heaters.
At the request of the Director of Baltimore County’s Office of
Sustainability, Rich is part of a special task force aimed at
making the County more sustainable. His experience also includes
the rehabilitation of homes using energy efficient designs and
passive solar. Rich has both a B.S. in Civil Engineering from
Rutgers University, and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from
Virginia Tech.
Suzanne Russell, CPA
Suzanne has 25-years experience in business management, sales,
marketing, and accounting. She worked for a Big 6
accounting firm and has a B.A. in Accounting from Loyola
College. She was a Marketing Director for a regional
engineering/architectural company responsible for a
multi-million dollar annual sales budget. She is a former
instructor of Dale Carnegie Business courses. Her
experience also includes the rehabilitation of homes
using energy efficient designs and passive solar. She is
an active environmentalist and has volunteered as fundraising
chair for Water for People, a non-profit organization that
builds clean drinking water systems in developing countries
Jeffrey Blankman, MBA
Jeff has over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering
and project management. His experience has included the
construction of manufacturing facilities, installation of
automated processing and packaging production lines in industry,
as well as environmental compliance and energy efficiency.
Jeff has both a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with a
concentration in Energy Conversion, and an M.B.A. from the
University of Maryland.
Jeff has studied
solar energy systems for over twenty years and is experienced in
PV system design and installation as well as energy efficiency
analysis.
